September 7
Sagefarm wearables artist Carolyn Hinske has a piece in Arte de Descartes VIII (opening reception on Sunday, Sept 7th) at the Stables Art Center, 133 Paseo de Pueblo Norte, Taos.  This is a juried exhibit of art made from mostly recycled materials, featured artists from across the country.  The show hangs until September 20th.

September 13
Reception at Sagefarm Contemporary for Taos artist David Hinske 5-8pm  Seven new paintings occuring in the gallery from start to finish.  Pre-selling at reduced prices that increases
daily as the paintings progress.  Come by the gallery now to

October 11
Rane Gallery presents 'Interwoven Illuminations' - an exhibit of poetry and paintings.  This series started with a poet writing about a Bill Rane painting - the poem went to a painter that paints in reaction to the poem without seeing the orginal painting.  And so on.  Like telephone tag.  Ten poets, ten painters.  This should be an unusual and surprising evening.  The last one was two years ago in Berkeley, CA and was an outstanding event.

November 1
 Local Taos photographers Carol Farmer and Jo Carey.  Reception for the artists 5-8pm at Sagefarm.  Carol is doing intimate studies of very still life, reflecting her point in life (and maybe our point as humans...), balanced by Jo's brilliant small captures of quiet and intimate small moments in the world around us.  This will be a very special presentation for these two artists.  See 'photograph' link at the top of the page for a preview.
